From the Maldah and Zardalu orchards of Bihar
Mangoes hanging on a branch in an orchard

Bihar grows mangoes on a large scale, and its orchards have their own varieties. Maldah, also called Langra or Dudhiya Maldah, is known for its thin skin and rich, sweet flesh. Zardalu, from around Bhagalpur, carries a GI tag and a gentle aroma of its own. Bombai, Gulab Khas and the late-ripening Chausa fill out the season, which runs roughly from June to August.
We buy from orchard owners, farming communities and FPOs across the Seemanchal, Koshi and Mithila belts. The trees stand on the Himalayan Alluvial Plains, where monsoon floods from the hill rivers leave fresh silt behind each year. Fruit is picked when mature, ripened evenly and brought to our processing base close to the orchards.
There the mangoes are washed, sorted, destoned and pulped, then either filled aseptically or frozen. We can keep varieties separate for buyers who want a particular taste profile, or blend them to hit a target Brix, colour and flavour.
The O Farm Difference
Maldah, Zardalu, Bombai, Gulab Khas and Chausa each bring something different to a pulp. Having several varieties to work with lets us offer distinct flavours and stretch supply across the season.
Unripe fruit gives pale, sour pulp. We buy mature mangoes and let them ripen properly before processing, which shows in the colour, aroma and natural sugar.
Our base is close to the orchards, so mangoes are not trucked across the country before they are pulped. That means fewer bruised fruit and less waste.
Mango pulp gets its yellow from the fruit. We do not add colouring, and our aseptic pulp is available without preservatives.
We buy directly from orchard owners and FPOs and pay according to quality. Growers who look after their trees and fruit see the benefit in the price.
Each batch is logged against its variety, sourcing area and grower group. Processing follows internationally recognised food safety standards, with checks on Brix, acidity and foreign matter.
Specifications are indicative and can be adjusted to your requirement. Final parameters are confirmed in writing with each order.
