Mango, lichi and pineapple from the orchards of North Bihar
Mango pulp in a glass flask beside a cut mango

North Bihar is fruit country. Across the Seemanchal, Koshi and Mithila belts, mango orchards, lichi gardens and pineapple fields grow on the Himalayan Alluvial Plains, where rivers coming down from the hills lay fresh silt over the land every monsoon. The soil stays deep and fertile, and the fruit that comes out of it has good body and natural sweetness.
We buy directly from orchard owners, farming communities and FPOs in these belts. Fruit is picked when it is ripe enough to give full flavour and colour, then brought to our processing base, which sits close to the orchards. Soft fruit bruises easily and loses quality with every extra hour on the road, so a short trip makes a real difference to the pulp.
Our pulp goes to juice and beverage makers, dairy and ice-cream producers, bakeries, confectioners, food service kitchens and export buyers. Choose a fruit below to see formats and specifications, or get in touch if you need something made to your own brief.
The O Farm Difference
Ripe fruit does not travel well. Because our base is close to where it grows, fruit reaches processing within a short time of picking, with less bruising and less loss along the way.
We ask growers to pick when the fruit is properly ripe on the tree or plant, not early for the sake of transport. Pulp from ripe fruit has better colour, aroma and sugar.
Pulp is heat-treated and filled into sterile packs for ambient storage, or frozen for buyers who prefer a cold chain. Both routes keep the fruit's character without added preservatives in the aseptic range.
The colour in our pulp comes from the fruit. We do not add colouring, so what you see in the drum or can is a fair picture of the season's crop.
We deal with orchard owners and FPOs without a long chain of traders in between. Prices are tied to quality, so growers are paid better for bringing us better fruit.
Every batch is recorded against the area and grower group it came from, and processing follows internationally recognised food safety standards. If you need to trace a consignment, we can.
Specifications are indicative and can be adjusted to your requirement. Final parameters are confirmed in writing with each order.
