Safe, Consistent, Traceable
Our buyers are food manufacturers, exporters, caterers and distributors. What we send them becomes part of their product, carries their name and ends up with their customers. A single bad batch costs them far more than it costs us, so we treat food safety as the core of the business.
Overseas Farm Private Limited processes sweet corn, baby corn, mushroom, makhana and fruit pulps from mango, lichi and pineapple. Our processing base in Purnea sits close to the fields, which shortens the time between harvest and handling and gives us fewer chances to lose quality along the way.
This page sets out how we check produce, how we keep the plant clean and cold, and how any consignment can be traced back to the area and farmer group it came from.
Quality Standards
Quality is controlled at each stage, from the farm gate to the loading bay. These are the practices our team follows every working day.
Every lot is weighed, graded and sorted when it reaches us. We check for maturity, bruising, disease and foreign matter such as stones, husk and plastic, and produce that falls short is set aside before it goes anywhere near the processing floor.
Cleaning schedules cover floors, equipment, crates and contact surfaces, with raw and finished areas kept apart. We follow GMP-style routines for water quality, waste handling and the flow of material through the plant.
Perishable lines such as sweet corn, baby corn and mushroom are cooled quickly after harvest and held at controlled temperatures. Storage and dispatch temperatures are logged so a break in the cold chain shows up on record.
Supervisors check cut size, blanching, pulp consistency and similar parameters at set points during each shift. When a reading drifts, the line is corrected there and then instead of at the end of the run.
Before packing is signed off, we look at appearance, texture, taste, pack weight and seal integrity against the agreed specification. Samples from each batch are retained for reference.
The facility runs a documented pest control programme with bait stations, fly control and screened openings. Inspections are recorded, and any activity found is dealt with and noted.
Everyone on the floor wears clean workwear, head covering and gloves where needed, and follows handwashing rules at entry points. New staff are trained before they start, with refreshers through the season.
Food safety starts in the field. We advise our farmers and FPOs on approved pesticide use, correct dosage and pre-harvest intervals, so produce reaches us within safe residue limits.
Traceability
Because we buy directly from farmers and FPOs, we know where our produce comes from. Batch coding keeps that link intact through processing and packing, so a consignment can be traced back to its sourcing area and farmer group. If a buyer raises a query, we can pull the records for that batch and answer it properly.
Produce is sourced from named farmers and FPOs across the Seemanchal, Koshi and Mithila belts.
Each lot is recorded with its source area, farmer group, date and weight on arrival.
Accepted lots are assigned to a processing batch with its own code and shift record.
The batch code is printed on every pack and carton, alongside the production date.
Dispatch records link each consignment to the batch codes it contains.
Certifications and Licences
O Farm operates to internationally recognised food safety standards. We are a young company, incorporated in December 2025, and we list our licences and certifications on this page as they are issued.
Buyers can request our current licence and certification documents at any time, and we will share them for supplier approval or audit purposes.
